FIELD: medical industry. SUBSTANCE: present invention describes method of preparing high molecular weight unsaturated alcohols such as betulaprenols which are useful for manufacturing biologivally active agents and drugs. Present invention describes method of preparing betulaprenols of general formula given in the specification from unsaponifiable agents of sulphate soap resulting from sulphate coaxing of broad-leaf wood species in silica packed column using mixture of petroleum ether with diethyl ether as eluent. Chromatographic separation is carried out in gradient elution mode and gives nonpolar and low polar components. EFFECT: quite pure drugs and greater process efficiency.
