FIELD: environmental control; collecting oil from water and ground surfaces. SUBSTANCE: liquid pickup section of belt and unit for forcing out liquid from belt cells are arranged in housing of liquid collecting device between driving drums of endless cellular transportation belt. Liquid forcing out unit has rollers engaging with belt. Liquid drain port is made in housing in zone of location of liquid forcing out unit. driving drums and rollers of the unit are installed in pairs at sides of belt, one opposite to the other, at a distance between them smaller than width of liquid pickup section and are provided with drives. Rollers and drums provide movement of stretched belt, i.e. with cells closed, over entire path, except for liquid pickup section where belt, owing to flexibility of wavy strips forming the belt, widens up to pickup up oil or other liquid.
