FIELD: electrical engineering; energy generation, distribution, and conversion including electrical-to-mechanical energy conversion by means of compensated-winding induction motors to improve power factor of motors. SUBSTANCE: machine has rotor, stator with running and auxiliary windings placed in its slots, as well as capacitor; phase leads of auxiliary winding are built up of coils and interconnected in series; capacitor is connected in parallel to them; auxiliary winding is designed for cumulative and differential connection and change-over of its coils from one phase to other. EFFECT: improved operating reliability due to reduced value of capacitors; reduced amount and enlarged range of nonmagnetic and starting torque regulation, reduced dynamic loads on mechanical parts of machine. 17 dwg
