FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves putting on unextendable fabric stocking under cuff directly over the extremity, compressed air is in series supplied to each cuff section beginning from upper proximal downwards under pressure of 130-150 mm of mercury column until the last section is filled. In filling the following section, the previous section pressure is relieved by 10-0 mm of mercury column. Pressure in the last section is relieved to 50-40 mm of mercury column. Then the process is repeated in reverse order from distal into proximal extremity section from top downwards having pressure increase cycle duration in each section from top to down equal to 5-20 s, pressure wave being of 5-20 s in top downwards mode and 40- 60 s duration in wave of from-bottom-upwards mode. Session duration is 40-70 min once a day every day during 4-6 weeks. The device has pneumatic cuff sections 1-6 for creating pneumomechanical pressure applied to lower extremity 17, pneumatic compression unit 13 having electronic control unit 12, electric motor 15 and pneumatic compressor 16 for supplying compressed air to pneumatic cuff sections 1-6. One unextendable fabric stocking is put on the lower extremity and the second one is put over the external surface of the cuffs playing the role of force-transferring envelope. Pneumatic cuffs have sections 1-6 and are extendable when put over lower extremity. Control unit 9 having electropneumatic valves 10 and electric wires 11 connected to pneumatic compression unit 13 controls operation of the sections. Pneumatic compression unit 13 is connected to control unit 9 and sections 1-6 of pneumatic cuffs by means of hose 14 for supplying air. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment. 3 cl, 3 dwg
