FIELD: instrumentation. SUBSTANCE: fibre-optical meter of angular velocity has radiation source, depolarizer, device for radiation splitting and convergence and measurement fibrous circuit optically coupled in series. Ends of fibrous circuit carry phase modulators of auxiliary and compensating modulation fabricated by application of light guide on to middle of piezoceramic converters with twisting of each turn through π rads. Circuit is manufactured from single-core anisotropic single-mode light guide with maintenance of polarization in the form of coil with winding symmetric with reference to middle of total length. Device for radiation splitting and convergence is made in the form of input splitter, polarizer and circuit splitter optically coupled in series from double-core anisotropic single-mode light guide with maintenance of polarization. Second output of input splitter is optically coupled through photodetecting module to input of radiation source fabricated as broadband superluminescent diode. Its third output is connected through photodetecting module having differential output with unit for conversion and extraction of signal. One of outputs of the latter is output of meter and two other outputs are connected to phase modulators of auxiliary and compensating modulation correspondingly which allows random drift of output signal to be decreased to level of 1 deg/h.
