FIELD: measuring technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to measure the speed of rotation or the angle of rotation of objects. The fiber-optic gyroscope comprises the first optical radiation source, the first optical splitter, the first polarizer, the optical four-port X-splitter with polarization conservation, the phase modulator, the sensitive coil of the optical fiber, the first optical radiation receiver connected to the output of the first optical splitter, and connected to an electronic information processing circuit. The second polarizer, the third optical splitter, the second source of optical radiation are connected to the free input port of the optical X-splitter. The second receiver of optical radiation is connected to the output of the third splitter and is electrically connected to the electronic information processing circuit. One of the optical radiation sources is used in the unloaded redundancy mode.
EFFECT: improving the reliability of the fiber-optic gyroscope and improving the accuracy of measuring the angular velocity.
