Abstract RU 2112937 C1

FIELD: optical instrumentation, medicine, food and chemical industries. SUBSTANCE: polarimeter includes radiation source 1, polarizer 2, Faraday modulator 3, object holder 4, analyzer 5, photodetector 6 and electronic units 7 and 8 measuring amplitudes of first and second harmonics correspondingly which outputs are connected to divider 10 connected to indicator 9. Output of unit 8 may be connected to input of current regulator 11 that in its turn is connected to radiation source 1. In initial position polarizer 2 and analyzer 5 are " crossed ", light does not pass through optical system and indicator 9 registers zero reading. With placement of object ( substance ) on holder 4 system of polarimeter registers transmission of light thanks to polarization capability of object, turn of polarization plane of object. Indicator 9 registers values of measured angle normal to amplitude of angular driving of light created with the help of Faraday modulator.
