FIELD: aviation instrumentation engineering; accelerometry. SUBSTANCE: pendulum of accelerometer includes inertial mass connected with bearing ring by means of two flexible strips coated with current-conducting layers on either side. To reduce difference in stress moment due to stresses in current-conducting layers, plane of bearing ring is set in vertical position by means of setting device; then value and direction of angle of deflection of inertial mass plane from plane of bearing ring (angle α) are determined. In case angle α exceeds permissible magnitude, part of current-conducting layer is removed in turn from each strip on side corresponding to direction of deviation of angle α followed by measurement of value α. Removal of part of current-conducting layer is effected by means of electric pulse action performed for 1 to 10 ms with the aid of point electrode, 50 to 100 mcm in diameter moved near surface of current-conducting layer and connected with positive potential of 25 to 30 V DC source; its negative potential is connected with current-conducting layer. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
