FIELD: sorbents. SUBSTANCE: invention focuses on sorbents used when cleaning liquid media in dynamic mode to remove radionuclides. Sorbent of invention contains mixed metal hexacyanoferrate with general formula M(I)xM(II)(4-x)/2[Fe(CN)6], where M(I) is lithium, sodium, potassium, and ammonium cations, or their mixture; M(II) manganese, ferric, cobalt, nickel, cupric, zinc, and cadmium cations, or their mixture; x=0-3.6, in amount 5-54 wt % and 0-48 wt % water. The latter is determined under drying sorbent at 110 C. Sorbent is prepared via consecutive chemical treatment of gel spheres of zirconium hydroxide containing 15-75 wt % water by aqueous solution of M(II) salt and then M(I) hexacyanoferrate followed by drying at 18 to 300 C.
