SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical processes. sorbent may be used for separating and concentrating 137Cs in liquid low-activity wastes, in analytical practice and at nuclear fuel cycle enterprises. Method consists in dissolving chitosan in acetic acid solution, forming chitosan granules, their processing by water solution of Cu (II) sulphate and, then, by water solution of potassium cyanoeferrate (II).
EFFECT: high-selectivity sorbent with respect to cesium containing mixed potassium ferrocyanide and copper on chitosan carrier.
