FIELD: thermal imaging, visualization of images shaped by multicomponent photodetectors in visible and infra-red frequency bands. SUBSTANCE: method involves shaping reference signals, dividing object signal from photodetector to reference signal corresponding to particular photodetector, shaping video signal converted as result of division to be supplied to video monitoring device. Novelty is that signals are summed up along each line of thermal imaging frame, train of summed-up signals are smoothed down in direction of frame sweep, correcting signal is shaped for each line by dividing smoothed total signal of particular line by total signal corresponding to this line, and smoothed-down signal of each line is shaped by multiplying correcting signal of each line by respective line video signal picked off photodetector output. EFFECT: improved accuracy of equalizing sensitivity for different types of photodetectors. 3 cl, 3 dwg
