DEVICE FOR CARRYING OUT VACUUM SUCTION OF UTERINE CAVITY Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has drug chamber and vacuum chamber, two-walled suction tube divided by means of partition into two sections one of which is delivery sector and the other one is discharge sector having axial worm and flexible nozzle connected through collet end piece to micromotor unit having operation voltage of 12 V and revolution number of 0-70 rpm providing separation and grinding of tissues. Removed tissues are collected in a glass under visual examination and volume control corresponding to liquid volume forced out from sedimentation glass. Drug is delivered from drug chamber through delivery sector of the suction tube attached to the drug chamber manufactured from transparent plastic material like all other pieces. The device is connected to rarefaction source and micromotor providing for worm rotation, separation and grinding tissues in uterine cavity and suction of liquid contents from the uterine cavity. EFFECT: enhanced quality of operation; reduced number of post-abortion and postpartum complications. 6 cl, 4 dwg
