FIELD: machine tool manufacture, namely fixation of indexing devices of metal cutting machine tools. SUBSTANCE: mechanism includes body in which spring-loaded rod is mounted with possibility of limited axial motion. Said rod has fixing end engaging with seats of rotary part of indexing device. End portions of said rod and seats have elliptical cross sections. Elastic sleeve is arranged on end of said rod. Rollers are mounted one close to another between said rod and sleeve. Rod rotates by 90 degrees on said rollers inside said sleeve when its fixing end engages with seat to be fixed in that position. EFFECT: improved design. 5 dwg
