FIELD: steel melting production, namely melt metal blowing by gases such as nitrogen and argon. SUBSTANCE: tuyere for blowing melt metal by gas includes cylindrical insert made of graphite with size equal to that of cross section of tuyere tube. Said tube is in the form of diaphragm with diameter of central opening equal to (0.12-0.17)D, where D - diameter of said tube. Said insert is spaced by 100-120 mm from tuyere cut-off. Such diaphragm intensifies self-control of back hydrodynamic shocks and prevents metal sticking on surface of tuyere. EFFECT: improved design. 1 dwg
