FIELD: steel melting, blow-through of metal in LADLE with gases, for example, nitrogen or argon. SUBSTANCE: tuyere carries metal pipe lines with refractory blocks. Lower part of tuyere has grooves along generating lines of central hole, damper manufactured in the form of cylinder with two interconnected holes to prevent penetration of metal into pipe and nozzle. Diameter of central hole equals thickness of nozzle grooves. Formed narrow hole accelerates cleaning of nozzle from drops of melt during periods of withdrawal of metal. Manufacture of damper and nozzle of tuyere from graphite displaying poor wettability in combination with design of tuyere enables its coating with metal to be diminished.
