FIELD: synthetic fibers. SUBSTANCE: to manufacture para-arylamide fiber, 0.94-0.99 mol para-oriented aromatic dicarboxylic acid halide is added to 1.00 mol para-oriented aromatic diamine in polar amide solvent containing 2-10 wt % alkali or alkali-earth metal chloride. Subsequent polymerization is conducted at temperature from 20 to 50 C to give 4-10% para-arylamide spinning solution with low polymerization degree and exhibiting optic anisotropy, which is then shaped. Fiber is cut, brushed at high shear load, and dried to yield para-arylamide fibrous mass. EFFECT: enhanced process efficiency. 13 cl, 3 tbl
