FIELD: launch control. SUBSTANCE: the device uses a unit receiving information on target position, control signal generating unit, unit for ranging of the center of longitudinal-area (multiple) target, its near and distant boundaries, tactical control unit for provision of launch, register of missiles assigned to launch, setters of quantity of missiles guided to selected aiming points (up to three points located between the near and distant target boundaries), counters of launched missiles, synchronization system, system forming the ranges of initiation of missile descent. After the analysis of the target pattern and composition the launcher commander selects the respective the launcher commander selects the respective quantity of missiles required for reliable target destruction and enters them in the register of missiles assigned to launch. Proceeding from the analysis of spread of the longitudinal-area (multiple) target, range to its center, as well as probable dispersion of destructive members inside it, the commander selects the quantity of aiming points, assigns the quantity of missiles for each of them and enters them in the respective missile quantity setters. In the process of salvo firing the device automatically forms the values of ranges of initiation of descent of missiles guided to different aiming points and entered in the setters of on-board control systems of the respective missile. In the process of flight, on reaching the preset range of initiation of descent, each missile accomplishes this descent in determined trajectory and carries out target element search and homing in the preset aiming point. As a result, at salvo firing the device automatically spreads missiles in range providing a longer flight in the high-altitude (economic) trajectory leg of those missiles that are guided to the most distant target elements thus increasing their operational range.
