FIELD: measuring equipment, in particular, for measuring of instantaneous frequency, demodulation of FM signals, digital SECAM decoders. SUBSTANCE: all operations which lead to complication of frequency detector are implemented in ROM using triads of digital samples of signal directly as address code. Digital frequency detector has serial circuit of first and second registers, ROM unit. Output of first register which input serves as input of device is connected to input of one variable of address input of ROM unit. Control inputs of first and second registers serve as clock input of device. Goal of invention is achieved by connection of device input and output of second register to inputs of another corresponding variables of address input of ROM unit. Another claim of invention describes device design in which faults during reset of second sample in triad of samples are prevented by lock register and generator of control signal which is designed as NOR gate which inputs are connected to output of first register and output is connected to control input of lock register. Input of lock register is connected to information outputs of ROM unit. Output of lock register serves as device output. EFFECT: increased functional capabilities. 2 cl, 2 dwg
