FIELD: forestry. SUBSTANCE: method involves forming cascade of earth dams along main bed; constructing water retaining and water drain swells in gully cones and branches so that swells are spaced from gully cones or branches by distance equal to 2.5-3.5 of gully depth; planting ameliorating plants on dams and swells; flattening gullies by moving ground onto gully bottom to provide gully slope inclination angle of 12-15 deg; laying out flattened gully surface with humus-incorporated soil layer. EFFECT: increased efficiency and simplified method. 3 cl, 1 dwg
