FIELD: space engineering; devices for determination of position of center of mass of spacecraft at control of their angular in space flight. SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in measuring the angles of turn of output shafts of drives of propulsion plant suspensions at successive stabilization of angular motion of spacecraft in course of correction of its orbit; spacecraft is subjected to stabilization twice applying control moments in second case on side of drives at creation of calibrated thrust for given propulsion plant. Actual position of center of mass of spacecraft is determined in its construction lines taking into account the magnitude of these moments and thrust by the resultant deflection angle of propulsion plant. It is good practice to apply this method at such spacecraft as MIR complex, international ALFA station, etc. Relative error in determination of center of mass is about 2 percent for each coordinate. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy and facilitated procedure of calculations of position of center of mass of spacecraft. 3 dwg
