PLASTIC CAP FOR VESSEL Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: food industry; caps for glass or plastic vessels for drinks. SUBSTANCE: vessel has neck with cylindrical surface section. Cap has bottom 21, peripheral skirt 22 and means for engagement with vessel which require relative rotation of cap and press-moulded gasket 30. Skirt 22 of cap 20 has section 25 radially thickened inwards from inner surface of skirt and defining cylindrical surface 26. Cap has ring concave surface 29 in place of connection of bottom 21 and skirt 22. Gasket 30 is in engagement with and is coupled with inner surface of central section 23 of bottom 21 by ring section to receive the gasket, concave surface 29 and cylindrical surface 26. Proposed cap is good both for glass and plastic vessels. Its seal provides effective protection of vessel contents under pressure and effectively releases pressure when cap is being turned.
