FIELD: glasswork. SUBSTANCE: according to a special program, glass is cut by laser beam into separate pattern-forming elements. According to the same program, metal sheet is cut into metal carriers with some extension going from the pattern in both directions. Glass elements are laid onto carrier and the space between elements is filled by fusible alloy or glue. Some pattern- forming elements may be sprayed by fusible dyes with different colors. Apparatus comprises laser, computer-controlled two- coordinate table containing carriage with focusing lens and nozzle. There is also bearing plate to lay carriers and glass elements, nozzle to supply fusible alloy, and cassette with various dyes collection. EFFECT: increased feasibility and productivity of operation. 3 cl, 4 dwg
