FIELD: refractory materials. SUBSTANCE: manufacturing process includes preparing molding compound by mixing, wt.-%: refractory clay, 7- 17; disthene-sillimanite concentrate, 64-72; ground chamotte, 14- 17.4; lignosulfonates, 0.23-0.57; sodium chloride, 0.05-0.08; and water. Thereafter, dross is combined with 2.9-7.4 wt.-% of polystyrene foam, and perforated molds are filled. Upper and lower covers of molds function as electrodes providing heating at 55-65 V followed by drying and firing. Average density of material is 0.7- 1.0 g/cu.cm and compression strength 10.5-15.1 MPa. EFFECT: improved characteristics. 1 tbl
