FIELD: blast-furnace smelting. SUBSTANCE: method includes charging into blast furnace of iron ore part of burden, coke, flux in the form of carbonate briquettes in the amount of 5-84 kg per ton of pig iron, supply of hot combined blasting, tapping of pig iron and slag. Carbonate briquettes are produced from slags of chemical treatment of water of thermal power stations with fluxing ability of 38-43%. EFFECT: reduced consumption of coke and higher productivity of blast furnace. 1 tbl
