FIELD: electrometallurgy; construction of electric arc furnaces. SUBSTANCE: electric arc furnace includes casing, rolling-out door-way with arch, tilting mechanism, guide rails for rolling out doorway, and arch hoisting mechanism built in doorway. Doorway lowering mechanism is located inside supports of doorway 2 immovably mounted on furnace tilting mechanism. Rails 5 are immovable mounted on supports. Two double-acting hydraulic cylinders 4 used for rolling out the doorway with arch 9 are articulated to doorway 2 at one end and are articulated beyond the furnace at other end. Tilting mechanism is made in form of frame 3 mounted on fixed supports 11. Arch hoisting mechanism includes hydraulic cylinders 7 connected with leverage 8 located on doorways 2.
