FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: for determination of amplitude- frequency characteristics of elastic system with multichannel input it is simultaneously excited by random vibratory action across several inputs and vibration accelerations across these inputs and across specified output point are measured. Amplitude-frequency characteristic is determined by relation of energy spectrum of vibration accelerations in output point to averaged energy spectrum of input vibration accelerations. Calculation of is carried out with allowance for single-channel functions of coherency of energy spectra at i-th input and specified output point. Measurements are conducted in stages. Summary value of single-channel functions of coherency is determined at each stage. If its deviation from one exceeds specified permissible value number of inputs through which system is excited is added at next stage. If specified degree of proximity of summary value of single-channel functions of coherency to one is achieved at some measurement stage this is indicative that amplitude-frequency characteristic is determined with specified accuracy.
