FIELD: instrument and mechanic engineering. SUBSTANCE: method is based on determining weight and weight center of an object to be protected and coordinates of fixating points of dampers fixed to the object as well and selecting dampers. The method involves the steps of: measuring vibration loads in the fixating points of the dampers at the input of a vibration protection system and in a reference measurement point of the protected object as well, estimating and discriminating energy spectra of independent components of vibration loads at the inputs and vibration loads corresponding to them, determining amplitude frequency characteristics for each of channels at the vibration protection system output, then obtaining amplitude frequency characteristic of the vibration protection system satisfying predetermined requirements by varying rigidity or dissipation of the dampers being used.
