SUBSTANCE: invention relates to materials catching aerosols and vapors of noxious substances (radioactive iodine, polonium, mercury, insecticides, pesticides, and others) from air and process gases. Fibrous material is blown through by air to pulverize sorbent. When performing spraying, alternating pulsing load is applied onto material layer or air stream. Apparatus contains fan, tank with sorbent, auxiliary cleaning filters, tape-moving device to move fibrous tape blank through spraying chamber, and mechanical vibrator fibrous layer vibrator or pressure pulser.
