DYNAMIC SKIMMER Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: mining machinery and equipment. SUBSTANCE: dynamic skimmer is intended for mechanized extraction of coal. Skimmer has body, working members with cutting tools, vibration generator, drive sprockets, continuous traction chain with its working line running around drive sprockets, and torque limiting clutches which are installed on shafts of drive sprockets. Working members are made for possible limited longitudinal displacement relative to body. Torque limiting clutches are located beyond body and their external half-clutches are rigidly connected to each other by cross-member. Vibration generator is made in the form of cam-shaped disk which is installed on shaft of each sprocket and can interact with rollers located at both sides of cam-shaped disk. Axles of rollers are connected with pushers which in their turn are coupled to working member. Skimmer can be provided with deflecting shoes for traction chain mounted on body. Upper roof cutting tools and lower floor cutting tools can be of static type. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 4 dwg
