FIELD: radio engineering, radio navigation, direction finding to source of radiation. SUBSTANCE: proposed digital radio direction finder has antenna unit 1, first and second radio receivers 21 and 22, analog-to-digital converters 31 and 32, buffer storing devices 51 and 52, units 61 and 62 of discrete Fourier transform, weight processing unit 7, unit 10 computing bearings and unit 12 of reference frequencies. It is supplemented with third radio receiver 23, third analog-to-digital converter 33, third buffer storing device 53, third unit 63 of discrete Fourier transform, control units 4, covariance matrix 8, units 9 and 11 of matrix processing and weight coefficients. Antenna unit includes first, second and third antennas. Process of reception of information on parameters of position line has been changed in proposed direction finder. Enhanced noise immunity is achieved thanks to isolation of maximum component of spectrum of signal. Possibility of separate direction finding of components of two-mode field is ensured by time averaging of covariance matrix of signal and by use of Pisarenko method for determination of angles of arrival of radio signals. EFFECT: increased accuracy of direction finding to modulated radio signals with unknown structures in short-wave range including conditions of two-mode propagation of radio waves. 1 cl, 42 dwg
