FIELD: radio engineering; mobile radio communications. SUBSTANCE: well-known method includes reception of signals by n-antenna array, shaping of scanning signals within desired angular sector, calculation of weight coefficients followed by their multiplying by respective scanning signals, storage of signals obtained, selection of angle value from them corresponding to maximum-amplitude signal; novelty is that signals are received and weight coefficients are calculated and multiplied by respective scanning signals during transmission of data burst and during protection interval, respectively; then resultant signal calculated during protection interval is subtracted from resultant signal found during data burst transmission interval, difference signals are stored, angle value corresponding to maximum-amplitude signal is selected from them. Proposed method ensures elimination of multiple- beam components in processing. EFFECT: improved accuracy in taking bearings under multiple-beam conditions. 7 dwg
