FEED PELLETING APPARATUS Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: feed mill industry. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has set of detachable annular dies and pressing rollers disposed outside dies. Each die has side rings divided into several sectors and provided with L-shaped annular bores and L-shaped annular arcs arranged so as to define T-shaped annular cavities between them, and radial walls positioned between rings. Walls are made in the form of plates with T-shaped end projections received in T-shaped annular cavities. Plates have projections positioned on one side and adapted for defining pressing channels between plates. Detachable sectors are secured with sleeve put onto shaft of apparatus and with bearing body mounted on hollow pin and connected with toothed gear, which is engaged with drive. Sprocket mounted on shaft is connected through chain transmission with sprockets of pressing roller spindles. Detachable sectors are provided with wall receiving radial slots. Pellet cutting knives are positioned within die cavity. Radial walls may be connected to form blocks composed of 10-40 plates. EFFECT: increased efficiency, enhanced reliability in operation, repairability and reduced power consumption. 3 cl, 11 dwg
