FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to artificial insemination of sheep and technology of production of protective media for sheep sperm cryoconservation. Method involves addition of bactericide preparation lactobril to lactose-yolk-glycerol medium at the following ratio of components, wt.-%: lactose, 10-12; chicken egg yolk, 15-21; glycerol, 5-9; lactobril, 0.02-0.04; and distilled water, the balance. The use of this medium ensures to enhance fertilizing capability of sheep sperm, absolute index of spermatozoons viability and increase of lambs breeding.
