FIELD: production of skeleton-type composite materials; may be used in production of composite materials by impregnation of carbon-graphite skeleton operated in aggressive media in capacity of face seals, plain bearings, current collectors, etc. SUBSTANCE: method includes vacuum treatment of skeleton and its impregnation with matrix material. In so doing, skeleton is made of two parts of carbon-graphite material with constant cross-section. Two parts are arranged with their surfaces facing each other equidistantly with gap determined by preset mathematic relationship. Skeleton is subjected to vacuum treatment from opposite surfaces. Matrix material prior to impregnation is located with one of the surfaces and impregnation is carried out in direction to gap up to full infiltration of both parts of skeleton.
