FIELD: metallurgy, composite materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy, namely, to the creation of composite materials by impregnating a porous frame, and can be used in the manufacture of current collectors, plain bearing inserts, sealants, etc. The method for producing a carbon-graphite composite material includes vacuum degassing of a porous carbon-graphite billet in an electrolyte solution, applying a copper-containing electroplating coating to it, placing a carbon-graphite billet with an electroplated coating in the impregnation chamber, and impregnating with matrix copper-phosphorous alloy melt under the influence of excessive pressure due to thermal expansion of lead melt in the pressure chamber when heated 100°C above the liquidus temperature of the matrix alloy while simultaneously heating them, in this case, as an electrolyte solution, a composition containing 40 g/l of copper sulphate, 40 g/l of stannic sulphate, 8 g/l of phenol, 70 g/l of sulfuric acid, 0.0005 g/l of thiourea is used, a galvanic coating consisting of 80% copper and 20% tin is applied, and the carbon-graphite billet is placed in the impregnation chamber at the temperature of the lead melt in the pressure chamber, 5-10°C lower than the temperature liquidus of the lead alloy.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at improving the quality of the composite material due to the maximum filling of the pores in the carbon-graphite billet with the matrix melt.
