COMPOSITE SHEET AND METHOD FOR ITS PRODUCTION Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: materials production technology. SUBSTANCE: sheet is created in longitudinal direction by its parts which are butt-joined and connected together. Aforesaid parts of sheet have separating layer which above itself carries composite layer which is formed by fibres basically parallel to each other in matrix. Composite layer of each part of sheet is fastened by two lateral sides which are located opposite to each other and extending parallel to fibres. Parts of sheet are joined in such way that lateral side of composite layer of each part of sheet is turned towards lateral side of composite layer of joined part of sheet and is parallel to it. Fibres in parts of sheet are arranged at angle α (different from 0 deg.) with respect to longitudinal direction of composite sheet. This invention also relates to method for producing aforesaid composite sheet, to method for producing continuous sheet with intercrossing layers, to method for continuous production of continuous sheet with intercrossing layers, also to antiballistic article, to sheet with intercrossing layers of continuous length, and also to multiple-layer composite material. Aforesaid composite sheet can be used for continuous production of multiple-layer composite materials. Composite layer of composite sheet when making up multiple-layer composite material will not create areas with overlaps or intervals and this prevents occurrence of local bulges at places where they are joined together.
