FIELD: navigational equipment for aircraft and helicopters on which alignment of internal navigational system in heading is effected after restart. SUBSTANCE: pilot finds land-mark whose coordinates are known and are stored in memory unit 5; coordinates from output of memory unit are introduced to input of land-mark azimuth computer unit 8 on command from control unit 1; simultaneously, azimuth of land-mark is determined by means of optical location station 4, after which heading angle of object is determined on basis of information on bank and pitch angles from inertial navigational system 2 and altitude from radio altimeter 6, thus making it possible to align inertial navigational system in heading after restart.
