FIELD: measurement of water content of loose materials. SUBSTANCE: sample of material is placed into close space, air is evacuated out of it and changes of temperature of sample over initial section of curve of temperature change in time are measured many times. Asymptotic level of thermogram is determined and starting water content of loose material is found by formulas of regressive analysis. Device measuring water content of loose material has vacuum chamber and dish with temperature-sensitive element, vacuum pump with remote switch and measurement unit.
