FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: device for lumber humidity remote control contains transducer with three needle electrodes located in polygonal line in the form of right angle to create pairs of needle electrodes, one designed to be mounted along fibres, and the other across fibres of lumber, and indicating gage unit. According to invention, device additionally contains two systems of flat interdigital electrodes forming planar capacitor, with its capacity depending on lumber humidity content, electrode supports shaped as dielectric plate with needle electrodes mounted on it, and two systems of interdigital electrodes, high-frequency adapte of signal r modulated by frequency and modulation pulse duration, with needle and interdigital electrodes connected to corresponding inputs of signal adapter, one interdigital electrode being connected to middle needle electrode, and power supply.
EFFECT: more reliable humidity data due to possibility to evaluate humidity gradient by material thickness.
