FIELD: medicinal industry. SUBSTANCE: beet, citrus or apple pectins are extracted with 0.5% solution of ammonium citrate. After filtration electrolyte (0.1 M solution of potassium chloride) is added to the obtained pectin extract and dialyzed through cellophane membrane at 38 C for 24 h. Obtained dialyzate is evaporated under vacuum and treated with 96% ethyl alcohol. Pectins are separated and treated with 5% solution of ammonia at ratio 1: 10 at pH 10.5 for 2 h. Mixture is acidified with hydrochloric acid solution to pH 2 and kept at 18 C followed by the end product isolation. Obtained pectins can be used as detoxifying agents. EFFECT: increased purity and binding activity of the end product. 5 tbl, 2 dwg
