FIELD: pharmaceutics. SUBSTANCE: sugary laminaria should be reduced, degreased with chloroform at weight- volumetric ratio of raw material : chloroform being 1 : 20 for 1.5 h. Then it is successively extracted with 90-96%-rthanol, hot water and 1.5%-sodium carbonate solution. Ethanolic extraction is filtrated, dialyzed through a cellophane membrane for 2 h, concentrated and mannitol is crystallized. Aqueous extract is thrice cooled at 4 C for 1 h. Then it is dialyzed through a cellophane membrane for 6 h, evaporated to deposit a total polysaccharide-protein complex with 90%- ethanol. Then comes freeze drying at -13 C for 70 min. Sodium alginate is deposited out of carbonate extraction after pretreatment with concentrated sulfuric acid with the help of sodium carbonate followed by freeze drying at -13 C for 50 min.
