FIELD: separation of material mixtures in gaseous and liquid media according to their magnetic perceptibility as well as their separation from solid inclusions. SUBSTANCE: separator has casing with charge and discharge pipe connections, traveling magnetic field system placed outside, internal corrugated surface, helical flow guide, and shut-off sleeve. Stream is introduced in separator under pressure and at high speed; helical path of flow increases its residence time in magnetic field; stream is additionally swirled due to friction against corrugated surface, separation products enter magnetic field, and stream is separated together with separation products; the latter are brought out of flow into valleys between corrugations and conveyed by traveling magnetic field to storage unit; clean stream is conveyed by shut-off sleeve to discharge pipe connection. EFFECT: improved efficiency of mixture separation and improved capacity of separator. 1 dwg
