FIELD: production of protective coatings on the base of nickel alloy. SUBSTANCE: method for production of protective Ni-W coating of unheated solution is proposed, thus corrosion resistance of coating is increased. Electrolyte for deposition of Ni-W protective coating which takes place of solution is also proposed. Said solution comprising nickel sulfate, sodium tungstate, sodium citrate, nickel chloride and boric acid additionally comprises magnesium sulfate. Solution comprises, g/l, nickel sulfate, 25-35; nickel chloride, 3-5; sodium tungstate, 8-50; sodium citrate, 25-150; boric acid, 5-8; magnesium sulfate, 20-25. Precipitation is carried out when acidity of electrolyte is 6.0-7.0, temperature of electrolyte being 18-22 C, cathode density of current being 3-10 mA/cm2.
