FIELD: electric energy generation, operation of transport traction, and protection of river channels and banks against erosion. SUBSTANCE: converting unit that functions to convert both organized and elemental energy of moving water, air, aerosols, pulp, and miscellaneous fluid media in enclosed and open channels and spaces has pairs of turning blades self-adjusted to local flows for dynamic action which are mounted on parallel stretched endless chains. Useful forces of blades are integrated into unidirectional traction of chains. Serial turning of blades required for actuating the chains is effected by special posts on hubs of gears driven by chains; blades have sail-shaped contour; specific geometric relations between unit components are chosen. EFFECT: improved efficiency of conversion of arbitrary-form moving fluids. 2 cl, 3 dwg
