FIELD: pumps. SUBSTANCE: proposed self-priming axial-plunger variable capacity pump is intended for usage in mix of positive-displacement hydraulic drive. Pump has controller incorporating stepped piston 6 loaded by spring 5 and forming chambers 7 and 8 of variable volume, smaller one 7 being formed by step of smaller diameter piston permanently communicates with pressure hydraulic line 9 of pump. Controller is fitted with pressure valve 10 connected to variable volume chamber 8. Chambers 7 and 8 of controller are interconnected by means of hydraulic line 11 with built-in adjustable throttle 12. Pressure valve 10 of controller is equipped by means of external action on its spring 13, for instance, in the form of lever or pedal provided with adjustable rest for maximum limitation of pressure level controlled by valve 10.
