FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: fire grate has clamping devices received by recess of furnace wall; clamping devices act on respective fire grate side plate. Clamping device includes cylinder mounted on furnace wall and provided with hollow piston and spring of adjustable preliminary tension. Lateral fire grate plate includes load-bearing slab secured on piston crown and boundary fire grate plates suspended from it. Diameter and length of piston are sufficient for creating the support and providing for required direction of lateral fire grate plate without additional guides. Adjacent pistons are articulated by means of guide rods; they may act one on another. Last edge of lateral fire grate plate or boundary fire grate plate has flange directed towards wall of furnace and engageable with flexible sealing member held on wall of furnace. Additional covering plate is engageable with part of flange having recess forming cavity of labyrinth seal type. EFFECT: enhanced operation of fire grate and hold-down devices. 13 cl, 4 dwg
