FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: proposed angle meter may be used in photoelectric and visual devices measuring angles, angular coordinates and movement based on methods of geometrical optics. It has test object and optical system forming image of test object in plane of analyzer of image coordinates that measured linear coordinates of image. Analyzer of image can be automatic photoelectric device or scale for determination of image coordinates by operator. Optical system is so built that linear position of formed image depends on angular position of some element or elements of optical system which are coupled to checked object. For simultaneous increase of accuracy and range of measured angles analyzer has spatial periodic structure and test object is manufactured in the form of spatial periodic structure provided with mark. Periodic structure of analyzer can be formed by arrangement of photodetecting regions or raster or sections of image selection in process of its scanning. Periodic structure of test object can be formed by set of radiators or raster with illumination system. Mark stands out from periodic structure for dimensions and illumination brightness or for profile of spatial distribution of brightness or disturbance of period of periodic structure. Coordinates of mark give reading customary for such devices and combination interaction of periodic structures of test object and analyzer forms additional reading of vernier type.
