COMPLEX PLANT FOR DECONTAMINATION OF SOLID RADIOACTIVE WASTES AND CONDITIONING OF FORMED LIQUID RADIOACTIVE WASTES Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC G21F9/34

Abstract RU 2695811 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear industry. Complex plant for deactivation of metals containing highly-fixed surface radioactive contamination includes combined ultrasonic and electrochemical deactivation of metal in aqueous solutions of acids. Installation allows complete decontamination of metal solid radioactive wastes of solid radioactive wastes: metal is deactivated with simultaneous action of ultrasonic oscillations and electrochemical action, then rinsed with simultaneous action of ultrasonic vibrations and compressed air supply, then dried with hot air in drying chamber, after which metal is fully ready for processing.

EFFECT: invention reduces processing time, temperature and concentration of active substances in deactivating solutions.
