CRADLE POSITIONING APPARATUS Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: construction industry, in particular, repair and maintenance of buildings and constructions. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has vertical and horizontal positioning cables, winch with drums, pulley system, carriage. Vertical and horizontal positioning cables fixed on drums are passed through pulley system. Carriage is mounted on horizontal positioning cable and provided with pulleys. Cradle suspension cables are passed through pulleys of carriage. Apparatus is further provided with mechanisms for changing direction of movement of cradle in horizontal plane. Mechanisms mentioned have supporting and retaining radial members equally spaced relative to vertical axis of cantilever and positioned for rotation about this axis. Pulley system is positioned on free ends of cantilever. Carriage is rigidly fixed by horizontal positioning cable. EFFECT: wider operational capabilities, provision for increased working zone and enhanced reliability in operation. 5 dwg
