FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: thermoplastic pipe has sleeve with tubular insert provided with outer shoulder and outer circular projections divided by circular grooves; it is also provided with tubular bush whose inner diameter is lesser than outer diameter of pipe. Bush is moved through end of pipe and then it is moved along pipe. As bush is moving along pipe, it gets narrowed and then restores its shape forming end section which is not narrowed. Outer diameter of insert does not exceed inner diameter of pipe; when insert is introduced into end section of pipe, end of pipe rests against shoulder. Then bush is moved relative to end of pipe till end section is crimped between projections and bush. End of bush rests against shoulder. Sleeve makes it possible to connect pipe with another pipe line. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 6 cl, 2 dwg
